Pardon our Facelift
If you’ve visited the Curtis – a DoubleTree by Hilton lately, you may have run across a hard hat-wearing individual or two. No, this isn’t the latest fashion trend (although, maybe we’re onto something…). The hard hatted folks you see around our property are working on increasing the form and functionality of our hotel meeting space and parking garage. In the spirit of keeping everyone informed, we’d like to take a moment to answer some of our guests’ most frequently asked questions. However, if you have a concern that is not addressed below, please do not hesitate to contact us directly at 303.571.0300 or info@thecurtis.com. We appreciate your understanding as we work to make the Curtis an even better place to be.
Q. Is your garage closed during the construction?
A. Yes, as of October 22, 2012, the garage will be officially closed to all traffic. This means that self-parking will not be available, but we will still offer our Valet services at our normal rate of $28/night.
Q. What if I still want to park myself? Are there options available in the area?
A. Yes, there are several pay lots and garages within walking distance to the Curtis:
- Denver Center for Performing Arts

$19.00 overnight - Independence Plaza

Q. Will I be disturbed by any noise?
A. You should experience no construction noise from your guest room.
Q. What will the new space look like?
A. The garage improvements will be subtle, with a focus on safety and usability. Also, we are excited to introduce a brand new ballroom and premier meeting space that will feature an indoor/outdoor option and state-of-the-art audio visual capabilities. Please click here for a preview, and visit our Meetings page for more information on holding your event at the Curtis.
Q. Is the Curtis doing away with any of its unique charm?
A. Never! If anything, we are only adding to the hip, retro vibe that makes the Curtis the Curtis. Throughout our renovation and after, we’ll still provide our guests with all of the things you love, including the themed floors, 5 & Dime gift shop, friendly staff doling out DoubleTree cookies, pop culture references at every turn and the “Stay Happy” feeling you’ve come to expect at the Curtis. If there is anything that we can do to make your stay more comfortable, renovation or not, please do not hesitate to contact us.
